Each Breathe Right® nasal strip is uniquely engineered with flexible “spring-like” bands that gently stick to the area right above the flare of each nostril. As the bands attempt to straighten back to their original shape, they gently lift the sides of the nose—instantly opening your nose for relief you can feel right away.
We’re glad you asked! Follow the steps below to start stripping.
Wash up!
The adhesive won’t stick properly to wet, oily, or moisturized skin, so wash and dry your nose before applying.
Size matters

Breathe easy

The benefits of Breathe Right® strips—more air, better breathing—aren’t limited to nasal congestion caused by seasonal allergies, or nighttime nasal congestion. On the contrary, Breathe Right strips can help you breathe better just about anywhere. Where you strip? That’s up to you.
Nasal congestion—whether from a cold or allergies—narrows the already-small nasal breathing space in the nose, making breathing through the nose more difficult. Breathe Right® nasal strips widen nostrils, helping you take air in more easily and providing relief you can feel right away.
When you suffer from nasal congestion, absolutely! Breathe Right® strips are clinically shown to instantly relieve nighttime nasal congestion. By opening up your nose for more air, Breathe Right strips offer relief you can feel right away, and help make snoring just a distant bad dream.
If you suspect your snoring is a symptom of a serious condition, like sleep apnea, please see your doctor. Breathe Right nasal strips are not intended to treat sleep apnea.
Yes, it may! Better breathing means better sleep. Even subtle breathing difficulties can lead to tossing and turning, fitful or disruptive sleep, waking up frequently, or waking up tired. Breathe Right® nasal strips open your nose, helping you take in air more easily.
Millions of Canadians have a deviated septum—a bend in the cartilage or bone that separates the nostrils inside the nose. Symptoms include an airflow blockage through one or both nostrils, difficulty sleeping, chronic nasal stuffiness, and loud breathing or snoring. While Breathe Right® nasal strips should not be considered an alternative to surgical correction, they can help to improve nasal air flow, allowing you to take in air more easily. Even better? They may offer relief you can feel right away.
Anyone can use Breathe Right® nasal strips! Breathe Right is safe for adults and children over the age of 5. So feel free to strip—whoever you are, wherever you are.
Any child under the age of 5, or people with latex allergies, should not use Breathe Right® strips. The package is sealed with natural rubber latex, which may cause allergic reactions. The strips are made with a medical-grade adhesive. Do not use over sores, sunburned or irritated skin.
Yes, Breathe Right® nasal strips are safe for children over 5 years old. We suggest parents of young children help in the application and removal of the strips.

Breathe Right® Original Clear nasal strips work the same way Original Tan nasal strips do.
However, the materials used are slightly different. Tan’s material is more porous—when the strip is taken out of the pack and exposed to air, the adhesive is activated to a tackiness phase, creating a glue-like consistency. Clear works in the opposite. The material is non-porous and prevents air from reaching the adhesive material, making it easier to remove after use. So, if you’ve got dry or sensitive skin, Clear strips are probably the perfect match for you!
Breathe Right® nasal strips may be used on a daily basis. Do not use for more than 12 hours per day. If rash or skin irritation occurs, discontinue use. Each strip is for a single use only—do not reapply; use a fresh strip.
